Utility Consultants client engagement strategy is based around long-term relationships with senior people - building and maintaining open and honest relationships - that deliver true and sustainable value across key management disciplines such as strategy, finance, marketing, engineering, operations and regulatory compliance. A key feature of Utility Consultants' client interaction is framing all client projects within the clients' strategic context, continually confirming that the project will contribute to the clients' business strategey.

Company history

Utility Consultants was founded by Phil Caffyn in 1998 as business opportunities converged. Since then Utility Consultants has expanded its client base to include 30 power utilities across New Zealand and Australia, as well as gas, water, drainage and sewage with a few rail and airport projects mixed into it all.

About the logo

Utility Consultants logo depicts its key markets which is energy & network infrastructure. Our core market is based around electricity distribution and transmission where our predominant strengths and experience lies. Clustered around this core market is our skills and experience in hydro and thermal generation, gas distribution and transmission, and "the three wets" (water, sewage and drainage).

Disclosure of interests

Utility Consultants director, Phil Caffyn, is not a director of any electricity businesses. Phil and his wife Annemarie have small holdings of shares in electricity retailer Pulse Utility Ltd shares and small holdings of shares in the associated Tasman Capital Ltd.
